IDS Center Building Directories

 As part of its vision to re-inforce the IDS Center as the leader in culture and business in Minneapolis, building management wanted to convert their static, back-lit directories to vibrant, LCD screen solutions.

AlivePromo was tasked to provide a design-to-sign solution, from equipment procurement and fixture development to content design and programming.

The directories would serve as a complement to a 2-story clocktower kiosk to be installed in the IDS Center Crystal Court, also to be fully implemented by AlivePromo.  

Design to Sign Solution

The result was four stacked digital building directories, each wtih two 65” LCD screens.

The top screen, as per building management’s desire to reflect Minneapolis culture, rotates beauty shots of Minneapolis parks, museums, natural landscapes, and more.      

The bottom screen features building directory information, which can be sorted and filtered through a series of external back-lit buttons on the bottom fixture panel.  A five-day weather forecast, leasing information, and a custom welcome message are also displayed.

Content is managed and delivered through AlivePulse, AlivePromo’s web-based fulfillment system that allows IDS management to update directory and message information on teh fly.  

Ongoing creative, scheduling, monitoring and maintenance are performed by AlivePromo from its Minneapolis headquarters.
