Campus Touch Screen Building Directories Inform NOVA Students

When the Woodbridge campus of the Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) opened for students in this fall, they were welcomed by interactive touch screen building directories.

NOVA administrators believe that when students have time away from their Knewton GMAT prep work, they are connecting with technology in new and interesting ways every day, and that an interactive directory and information center is an effective way to communicate important information for students.

Installed in the summer, students touch a directory interface to reveal full listings of each academic and support office on campus, floor maps, weather forecast information, and upcoming campus event information.

AlivePromo's AlivePulse software allows NOVA administrators to update directory content online, and changes are reflected immediately, allowing for information to move at the same speed as the students.

Campus directory creative and programming was conducted by AlivePromo and installed by AlivePromo staff.  Ongoing monitoring and maintenance services are provided by AlivePromo from its Minneapolis headquarters.
